Every year, on the evening of October 3rd, a Transitus (Latin: passing through) service is celebrated by the entire Franciscan family to remember the death of their founder, St. Francis of Assisi. All are invited to attend this year’s local service here at St. Francis Retreat Center!

About the Event
6:00 pm - Dinner in our dining hall
6:45 pm - Silent procession to the Chapel for service
A social will be held in the Fireside Lounge where we will have refreshments and almond cookies/biscotti (St. Francis' favorite).
Father Paul Botenhagen and our local chapter of Secular Franciscans will be leading this special service.
