This remarkable encounter, and the commitment to peace of the two men behind it, sucked the venom out of the Crusades and changed the relationship between Muslims and Christians for the better.

Francis of Assisi: The Lord Gave Me Such Faith!
Fr. Bobby Barbara OFM Cap Retreat Director

A world full of violence, political polarization, and disagreements within the church: this was the world into which Francis of Assisi was born and raised. How, then, did he become a man of prayer, peace, and heroic charity? If was not easy, even for a genius like Francis. Our retreat will focus on how God's grace in Francis' life helped him live within his own turbulent times as an "instrument of peace," and how Francis' example and wisdom can help us live the Gospel in our own day.

Rates:

  • $220 per person semi-private accommodations
  • $280 per person private accommodations
